Potentially insubordinate at every turn, likely immoral, and certainly good at killing tanks..............but only when he wants too

Gentlemen!
Thank you both very much! Yes, we're almost there. Mr. Herman. I'm waiting on ETO to deliver the goods then I can wrap this up and do the final weathering. Carl, I'm glad you like it. Almost done, Doc.
regards,
Painless

Went over to the M36B1 tonight and did a much anticipated piece of detailing. It had taken a while to find cocktail sticks but the stained wood ( bamboo ) effect for the cleaning rods made the search worthwhile.
Heads up: These beautiful rear racks are soldered together so easy does it when you are assembling or detailing anything on them. Pics:

I have to say that if you put some time and (cash ;o) some OOTB thought into these tanks, they really are work the asking price.

Assembled. For the cleaning brush rack I used a square brass cleaning jag and painted it black so it would stand out a little.

WIP, initial Honey Oak stain and paint on the sections that would screw together IRL.

WIP to sand down the ends of the bamboo rods

Starting out with a complete Cleaning Rod Rack. Soooooo much nicer than the cast metal part the vehicle comes stock with.

Great work on the cleaning rods (amonst other things) Painless  I used the same approach on the rods for my KT build (i.e. bamboo skewers) and was planning to do similar on the M36 too -it's not coincidence it's synchronicity (apparently) :haha:

Good morning!
Hotte! These Sherman tanks are famed for their industrial appearance, covered with eye candy detail. It takes a lot of time but the end result is sooooo worth it.
Carl! That is one brave fellow standing behind the 90mm gun breech when the main gun is fired ( even using blanks ) Great shots of that cramped, equipment filled turret! Thanks, my Friend!
Doc Phibes! I agree completely. Minds warped by tank modeling think alike! ;o)
Soeren! Eddyk did a great job on that Rack for sure. I've been following your detail work on your 'Hunting Panther' and it has made your TD stand out as real.
regards,
Painless
