TRhos wheels are fine ;)
As you say, a bit of pigment or dirt on them & they will look a million bucks.
Having the tyres on them for weathering also adds to the proper look as well.

Herman, you convinced me again. Ordered various brass and wooden rods 2-3mm to make the tool handles, crank and such like. Finished the spade today. And started on the track cable to be placed around the right vent.

The tiniest Progress is better than no progress at all. Reworked hammer and axe handles and now have to prepare the mounting equipment and the fake hinges for the fake Lids on the fake back boxes. Then it is painting again

Tools assembled the Wolf-Way® and primed :)

The crank and rod were just primed dark yellow and will be weathered to a worn look

The wooden handles were just stained with several washes of Army Painter Dark Ink mixed with water and sanded after the 3rd or 4th application

The hammer and axe got a layer of Vallejos German dark Grey, Vallejo German Black Brown stippled in and another stippeling Action of German dark Grey to get that cast and then painted look of Basic Tools. Face of the hammer and axe cutting axe were then just sanded to give the metal appearance. Weathering will take place when mounted.

Yes. You are right, it adds a lot.

I just mounted and matched the back deck Tools, all the Pins and chains and added a machinegun. Also painted the optics. Touchups incoming when washes and filters are applied.
