I might start playing with it this weekend. I can't do anything else with the Hetzer until I get motors, so I might start the bicycle. Anybody have any thoughts on making the headlight light up? Worth the effort, or would it just look like a cheap trick?

I always liked the Penny/Farthing bike that was used as liet motif in the sixties 'Prisoner' TV series (Patrick McGoohan). On the topic of lighting your lamp, could you run some fine fibre optic cable from the box dangling off the 'nut-cracker', to the lamp?
The button batteries could then be connected to an led arrangement in the box, and the light 'forwarded' to the lamp via the fibre..

Good idea, Roy, but I decided not to get fancy with it. It will probably end up hanging on the back of the Hetzer or the Sd.Kfz.250 anyway. It's turning out to be a fun build, though, and progressing nicely.

The Panzerfaust are very cool indeed. Even better than what comes with Dragon figures, which don't have the pin. So what's the plural for panzerfaust? Panzerfaustes? Somehow, I doubt it.

More progress. I had forgotten how much fun a good old fashioned out of the box model build can be. I'm pretty impressed with the Dragon kit. Everything fits well and goes together smoothly.

The LHS has a Dragon Anti-Tank Gun I might look into. Maybe to mount on the Sd.Kfz.250?

An infectious thread, as usual, Gary. More and more, I'm drawn towards the world in 1/6th format, and you're partly responsible for that That said, I don't think I would diversify as much as you have. I'd just stick to boring old tanks, I think. Still, MG 42s, and other weapons, look more impressive in this scale as well; but maybe that's because these ageing peepers can see them more clearly

Thanks, Roy, I know how you feel about being drawn to 1/6 scale. There's just so much more available in that scale when it comes to accessories. I guess we can thank G.I. Joe for that, eh? I'm going to do a short video for you on some of that machine gun detail, so that might come by PM. But maybe not right away!

This was a really, really fun build. Simple and straightforward right out of the box (though I might not recommend it for beginners because of the incomplete instructions) it was actually very relaxing. Especially compared to my other current projects, the Hetzer, the laser sight system for the Panther G and the PzIII I'm trying to squeeze an IBU2 pro into. All three of those projects have some real challenges to them, so building something that I just had to assemble without figgerin' crap out was a nice change. And the whole show costing less than 30 bucks (about 24 quid?) was a major bonus. I just dumped another $400 into the Hetzer for motors and batteries, and I'm not even close to being done with that project.

Anyway, here's what she looks like right now, about 99% complete. Still have to come up with lenses for the head and tail lights, and there's still a couple bits of touch-up, and I have to paint the handle on the air pump. I'll see about some still pics in a better background later on.

About the lightest anti-tank vehicle you're gonna find, gets great fuel mileage and is easy to drive ...
