Came across this nice short video of these two tanks running and revving up thier engines. Figured if someone hasn't seen this yet it was worth a look.
Enjoy

Yes indeed. Have all your bits arrived via the mail to finish your TD? Uncanny how the masters of the soundfiles on the forum can reproduce these tank soundsPainlessWolf wrote:Carl!

Tomorrow is Friday so I should hear that they have been separated from the US shipment and mailed to me by Saturday ( hopefully ) Tonight, I am working on the antenna and building stowage items.

You are correct about the small hatch feature. But if you look at the video the firefly has those features. If doesn't look like it has the extra armour plates however which make them less obvious

I had a double take at your pic Mr Hugill..............I thought for a second "what the hell have you done to your barrel? dropped it on the floor?"
As it was along side the Cromwell, all I spotted on the first glance was the short position of the dummy muzzle brake.
Shows that idea works eh

Re: Sherman Firefly and Cromwell tanks
Here's a diagram of a planned second (dummy) barrel for the Firefly. The tank would travel with the stumpy fake barrel forwards, with the disguised 17-pounder monster lurking behind. I don't know whether it was implemented, but it certainly would have confused any WW2 tank spotters.. It would definitely be a feature to make a Firefly model fairly uniqueHERMAN BIX wrote:I had a double take at your pic Mr Hugill..............I thought for a second "what the hell have you done to your barrel? dropped it on the floor?"
