Smoker should fit between the motors at the back. Pretty sure mine was screwed in, but as it's also the first thing I remove I can't be sure. Also check where the RX board is: there's not alot of space under the turret due to the BB unit and if the RX is on the battery box you might foul some cables.

I'm sure those vents are closed - they're intakes but in the models I didn't think there was an air gap. Happy to be proved wrong! They look correct when comparing with the real images.

On my HL T34, if I remember correctly, the smoker was mounted to the under side of the upper hull. It was just the basic plastic version.

Mine is the basic plastic version as well. I can't see where the smoker would even attach to, I'm thinking it's just set in between the gearboxes. *shrug* Oh well. I'll fix the exhaust tomorrow morning after I get back from dropping my car off at the body shop ad picking up my rental.

The Taigen/Torro version has 'Suvorov'..but in Cyrillic, on the turret. Suvorov was a famous Russian general from the 18th century, apparently. Even though he was from an aristocratic background, he was still revered in the Communist era

Hi Jackalope,
on my basic HL T-34's the smoker( which i removed) was held in place by only the clear pipes that were glued to the inside of the rear exhausts. This meant that it was fixed to the upper hull, bur fitted in between the rear gearboxes.
Cheers

As it sounds like you will keep the smoker , the T34's are very easy to refill the oil.
First remove the rear mesh lookalike cover , drill a small hole in the lid of the smoker , pour in needed oil , then plug up with a small bung.
Far easier then tipping it down the tubes and hoping it makes it to where it should be.
Don't get your panties in a bunch , we still got hand weapons and the fifty!

Good advice.................my smoker is due for the 'deap-six' and I too will use the vent hatch In so carefully altered to not only serve as a lubrication point for the gear sets, but also to fill the smoker with oil.
Lets see how you turn it out Mr Jack, they are great to work on ;)
