1/18 scale not 1/16. It's from Indiana Jones movie, but it's a neat truck regardless! Good find!

Oh, that one, seen them at the Sandown toy fair I'm going to tomorrow for a third of that lol

Mick.
I have an Indiana Jones motorcycle with rider, it's pretty good for what it is actually.

Myself I prefer 1/18 scale figures and vehicles, makes the tanks look bigger! LOL! :haha: I've got upwards of 40 different German figures, 5 251 halftracks, a couple PAK 40 (or 41, whatever) 75mm guns, and even a few 1/18 scale planes!

well, 1/16 or 1/18 doesn't matter to us in the Panzodrom, because almost all of our 300 figures are 1/18, without these and the 1/18 stuff (7,5cm PaK40, 8,8cm FlaK36 mainly) there wouldn't be any Panzodrom!

the figures are ok, because people varies in heigth, the main 'problem' would be if you put together two vehicles, one in 1/16 the other in 1/18. This is a good example:

ah, btw, we have also some Indiana Jones trucks and cars ;D

I had a couple of these trucks and they're nice little pieces. I believe Painless Wolf is trying to RC one, so that would be interesting info for you, Mick, if you're interested. At 10 quid you'd be getting a good price. Over here they go for around $50, or just under 40 pounds, so 10 pounds is definitely a deal. I'd get two if I ever found them that cheap, as they do make really excellent background pieces and our 1/16 hobby is sorely lacking for good soft-skinned vehicles.

OK, I have to take back part of what I just wrote. I did a quick ebay search and the cheapest I could find this truck for was $75, not $50, and most of them were over $100 US for a used truck! If you find them again at ten quid I'd advise you to buy all they have! You could resell some for 20 quid and still be giving guys a good deal while making a tidy profit for yourself. I've found that in this hobby, every little penny helps!!

Lol, When these trucks were produced they were on sale at Toys R Us here in the UK for about £8 each. Tank hobbyists were buying them 3 at a time, there were a few other models in the Indiana Jones series. Then they went out of production and were never seen again.

Roll the clock forward a few years and prices of them has gone through the roof, I wish I had bought 50. I have no idea who made them, or why they stopped production. All it would take is another Indiana Jones movie and I have no doubt that they would appear again.

I have seen some going for over £100 on Ebay over the years, and I seem to recall someone in Germany did a DIY RC conversion on one.

I believe they were made by Hasbro. I like the idea of a welding truck, and I'm going to look around and see if I can find photos of such a truck in the field.
