Broke the rear hull mount on my M36, stripped the gears on my KT servo as well as breaking the inner mantlet loose, and broke off the elevation hook on my T90. All fixed stronger than they were. There are now speed humps all around this area, and they are a nightmare when I go to meets.

I'm glad you managed to get them back to fighting shapeImage When I've transported mine I've used a memory foam mattress pad ( pretty inexpensive) doubled over to rest them on and absorb some road shock from potholes. It sucks them right into the padding. Speed humps are a tough one though. Maybe individual cardboard boxes lined with padding since your travels take you past the bumpy thingsImage
Tanks alot....

More detail parts going on each day. They take longer to design than print, and there are a lot of them...at least I can watch things on the internet while I am playing about.

This is really coming together, Wibbs. Great work. If you don't get us some video when she's done I just might explode! :)

I'll see what I can do. It might look like I am making good progress but these are the easy parts, the gun and the mount is going to be a real challenge.

I feel your pain, Brother. I have exactly the same problem with the Hetzer, figuring out how to hang a paintball cannon in there is gonna be a challenge. At least it will be hidden, unlike yours so you have a real challenge there, but something tells me you're up for it. 8)

Yup, all of those angles were a complete pain and took 3 attempts, it all had to be adjusted due to the out of scale lower hull, but its the best I could do.

A few more parts done. Got waylaid shopping and dismantling a squeaky patio door handle. lol. It's also bl**dy hot out there. No cloud at all for 2-3 days which is 'very' unusual. I've done some handles for the side boxes but haven't stuck them on yet.

Looking at the last shot, will you need to sand the hull or will the paint cover the banding?

It's the shiny pla, and the way the light always catches it in digital pics. it's only fingerprint deep in reality. The lines you see are each horizontal layer which has been printed, they are slightly different shades so they all show up separately. Normal auto primer usually smooths it, and if it doesn't then a quick blast with high build primer will do it.

There are several methods of smoothing pla and abs. One is an acetone vapour treatment, another is a particular transparent resin that is brushed on. I guess I am fortunate as my printers are set up quite well, but I do wonder why so many people on the web are content to print heavily ridged items, and then spend a fortune on things to make them smooth?? :/
