Btw i also thought of tanks being vulnerable to sir attacks. Lets still assume the german air support is almost non-existence. Else it would be too easy. Then due to lack of fuel and resources, they invented the guided rocket. Wire guided rockets. Not so advance like what we have today. They use their view finders to gauge the height and distance of enemy planes, then launch their wire guided rockets. Each soldier control a rocket through his view scope. He just need to place the marker on the enemy place. Any movement to the market (eg levers or dials) will send signal to the flaps on the rocket.

You can either use a time fuse so it will explode at a certain height or steer it till it hits its target. Assuming the rocket can fly around 600m/s (near mach 2). I think it should be pretty good against propeller planes.

Its cheap and germans could deploy thousands of them at a defensive line. This rendered the allies bombers/fighters useless. So its back to tanks against tanks.

Oh, when I meant by "fake", its means its modified. Not the same as the real tank, eg. Bigger guns, I am trying to add a 105mm gun to the tank. Then I am going to modify the turret to make it a bit bigger to accommodate the gun. Then the tiger will have more armour.

Think of it as an upgraded Tiger 1 in an alternate universe. Assume Germans did not surrender in 1945, Russia with their IS2/IS3 pushing the Germans back, Allies with firefly, Pershing, Comet etc all appearing. Then the T28/95 came. With its 300mm frontal, even the mighty 88mm could not penetrate it. Tigers no longer king of battlefield. Germans badly needed new tanks but Maus, E100 are too resource intensive to build. So back to Tiger and modify it.

They managed to fit on a 105mm L/68 gun, they lengthen the turret of the Tiger 1 to accommodate the gun. Install an auto loader to save manpower. Composite armour was invented as well. Due to limitations of composite armour, the turret is no longer rounded by look a bit similar to Cromwell. Surfaces are all flat. Spall liners also added. They also created ERA (I like the ERA on the M60 tanks). Install a 1200HP turbocharged diesel engine and upgraded transmission. The turret is also secured to the hull so 152mm rounds from the Russians cannot blow it off.

Now the Germans have a new mighty Tiger tank (I call it Tiger Ausf. F)
Interesting idea.. I do believe though had Germany not lost the war, they would have continued with the "E" projects like E50, E100 etc.

Cheers!
I have a plan for the E series. They abandon everything except for e100. Composite armour and era save the day for them. However, hitler felt he needs to have something big (we all know he is obsessed with big tanks). He wanted a tank which allies will abandon their tanks at first sight of this monster. So e100 was born. It has a 170mm gun which will destroy any tank in sight and armour is so thick that even its 170mm needs 2 hits at the same spot to penetrate its armour. I did try 1/72 e100. The 155mm looks miserable. Need 170mm and long barrel. The e100 will really rule the battlefield.
