Looking at Swedish centurions and seen this a chain armoured centurion that I would like to do

This is the first time I see it, but I imagine thats anti panzerfaust and panzershrek. Like the rusian bedspring armor, lol

Ive no doubt the chains would have worked, but god !...noisy !!

The 'Bedspring' armour on T34/85 tanks was initially a field mod, but I believe kits were produced and sent out to be fitted behind the lines as replacement machines rolled out.

This is exactly what it was for. The chains were meant to trigger the fuses of shaped charges like HEAT and HESH rounds away from the armor.
