Conqueror MGs

I was looking at the specifications list for the British Heavy tank Conqueror, and it lists two (2) 7.62 MGs, and yet the Cupola MG on the Bovington Conqueror is either a Browning .30 or .50,
Does anyone know the actual MGs fitted or was it simply the case that the Tank Museum had a spare .30/.50 but no 7.62s.?

My own idea is that given its date and the main gun being American there is a greater chance of the MGs being Browning's if only because in 1955 I am not sure there was a British 7.62 MG,
I think the first British 7.62 MGs were re-engineered .303 Bren's but they were later,
They were just filling the gap until the introduction of the 7.62 GPMG.

For what it's worth, 0.30 calibre converts to 7.62mm, so in fact, a Browning .30 Cal could also be described as a Browning 7.62 mm. I guess that the NATO standard round was basically the US .30 Cal as they provided the greater number of troops and equipment.
