G'day from Oz!

Post by HvyCgn9 »

G'day All,

I normally build rc Warships (1/72 scale) but recently purchased a basic version Heng Long M1A2 and over the last week or so have stripped it down to try and work out why the BB unit won't fire but ended up doing a full repaint in the Australian Army's AUSCAM camo scheme.....which has been a fun!(I will do a build thread on it) Its going to get the works, metal road wheels, tracks, better gearbox/ motors and eventually will replace the RX18 board with a TK20 and proper rx so I can use my good radio.

Our army's M1's are the M1A1 AIM SA version modified to our specs... @) @)

Cheers Bruce

G'day mate,

South Oz, Adelaide...

Most of the time I am busy building 1/72 rc Warships (I have been a member of Task Force 72 for last 7 years...)

I have a few big ship models most still underconstruction (or refit) with only one currently fit for operation. A few of my builds can be found in the scale ships section on the rcgroups site...

Currently building a 3.5m long model of a USN LHA the USS Saipan LHA2 which will have a 1/72 landing craft deployable from the well deck with my Dragon 1/72 M1A1 able to drive off (if I can get the little bugga to work again!!)

Here are a coupla pics of the fleet gathered on the back lawn during a recent shed tidy up!!!!
