Tamiya Type10 electrical parts...
Hi All.
1st off I got myself a very cheap Tamiya Type10, it's the display virsion!. I have so far built the gearbox up, as it's the same as the Leo2A6!!. Had a spare turret rotation motor and gun recoil motor. Now I've looked everywhere on the net and for the life of me I can't find the circuit boards anywhere!!!!. So is there another unit I can use??. I did see on the web someone used the Clark unit. So if anyone has any information to point me in the right direction it would be greatly received. Brian...

Congrats for your new tank! Dont waste money on the tamiya electronics and get an IBU 3. I'd recommend you an ASP 2, but they are out ot stock from half a year or so.
Also notice that you need to make your own connectors for the motors and turret units. I mean, you need to change from tamiya style to heng long.

Hi Rad,
Many thanks for the info. Yep will change all the plugs as and when I get the controller!!. Just made the speaker box up.I will fit two FRS7. Not worried about fitting any lights to it. So I will check out the IBU3. And just ordered the bearings for the suspension units will use rubber shield bearings so should last longer between services on the bearings. Brian

The tamiya units in the type 10 are very good, as are the leopard.

So I've been told, but they don't seam to be available anywhere??. Bit strange that
. So might go with the IBU3 or the Clark TK22 unit. Need to get more information about both first. Will keep looking for the the Tamiya ones but I don't hold out to much hope there!!!!. Plus I would think they will be mega bucks anyway. So I'm just waiting for my final bits&bobs to come from AFV Models. It's lucky that the gearboxes are the same as the Leopard. Because again there doesn't seam any spare parts for the Type10????..Brian...

Re: Tamiya Type10 electrical parts...
this machine needs a tad more than a tk22 I would say . If you consider the IBU3, the Clark board to match would be the TK60brizo58 wrote:Hi All;

Sound wise the tk 24 ore the tk60 are a big step up compared to the TK22.
The tk60 can also be delivered with gun barrel stabilisator( G2) , but that takes some work to get 100% .
Ibu-clark ore Elmod, should power that machine well
