Would this transmitter work with a clark TK22 board?

The sherman I'm getting is airsoft, gonna turn it into infrared. I don't have the tanm yet though

Just a word to anyone who is contemplating trying the TCB Open Panzer board. I did a bit of reading, and discovered that this board will only work with the transmitters/receivers listed. The reason for this is that it doesn't use the standard 4-6 channel receivers that we all use to hook up our tanks. Instead it uses the latest receivers that are used by the quadcopter hobbyists that give you multiple channels from a single plug. If you don't have one of the listed tx's then you can't use the TCB. It's not a problem if you already have one but if you don't, then you can add a new tx to the list of items that you will need to make use of the board.

Actually wibbly you can use the 'older' Tx/Rx though it might be a little hassle. What you need is a PWM to PMM sBus converter. They used to be sold by the likes of Hobbyking for less than £10. Essentially the 4-6 channel (or more) Rx servo leads plug into the converter and the single PPM output lead will go to the TCB.
However, I have not of course tried it with the TBC myself, on account of not having one! It might, though, be worth a try for those set on getting a the TBC set up that don't have a PPM Tx/Rx before splashing out on new radio kit.

So far, we need to buy the open panzer board, 2 Escs, a terrible overpriced an limited soundcard like benedini or so, and then that converter for the radio (or a new radio) and I might be missing something.

So cost wise we are going to invert a lot of money and we are going to have a lot of things inside our tiny tanks... Im sorry but the more I read about the open panzer project less future I see.

Of course I could be wrong (I hope to be wrong) but after seeying thousands of threads of people having problems trying to configure the basic tamiya electronics, or with the super easy IBU 2, I cant imagine the big pain in the ass that the open panzer project is going to be on the average user.

I am inclined to agree with you. There is no cheap way of putting the TCB system together, and it will have limited market appeal. If it was £50 for a complete running system, all on one board then maybe, but there is a lot of excellent competition out there now.

I agree with these comments entirely. Frankly as noble a pursuit as the TBC project might be it seems to me a rather convoluted patchwork solution in a market where people are looking for the opposite.
I personally have no plans to use other than Clark boards for the now. I also agree regarding the cost of a Benedini sound board - I like the idea a lot but not when I can buy a complete plug and play solution like the TK24 for the same price (and TK60 is not that much more if you want additional bells and whistles). I wasn't suggesting one should or shouldn't go the TBC route (though I confess it doesn't appeal to me because of the scaling cost in particular) only that if one wanted to, and came up against the problem posed regarding older radio equipment, there was (probably) a fairly inexpensive work around.
