Sadly the Sturmtiger will not be at Bovington as part of their Tiger variant display. Details here:

Re: Bovington Update
Shame about the Sturmtiger, but still worth a visit.

Re: Bovington Update
Have they ever had a Sturmtiger? Where are the existing one(s)?

Re: Bovington Update
They were trying to borrow one, from Germany I think, for the display that would run for 2017, but it seems that their plan hasn't been possible. No idea why.

Re: Bovington Update
Went round the display a few weeks ago. Quite impressive and includes a Ferdinand. no Sturmtiger but the display includes a barrel which is all that is left of the one they captured.

Re: Bovington Update
Bovington used to have a Sturmtiger (Chassis number 250327) and an E100 after the war as well as a complete Panther Schmalturm.
The E100 was totally scrapped in the early 1950's and all that now remains are a few photos.
The Sturmtiger was also scrapped after evaluation but the gun was kept.
The Panther turret was shot to pieces on the firing range but is now in the museum.
