Morning Jake,

Although this is not exactly what you are looking for it may be of some help if you go down the route of making them yourself. These are what I use for my generic antenna base's , answer's on a postcard if anyone knows what they are ( Adlav is excluded from the comp because he already knows Image ) with a little fettling and paint they can be made to look like a reasonable represention of an ariel base , I work in the motor trade so this is a clue Image

Cheers, Lee.

Cheers Lee. I was thinking more of the base the antenna's are sitting on for this..as you can see theres two antenna' on a single base. I've seen them in 1/35 but nothing in 1/16.

hmmm still thinking what you made yours from, look good tho.

Well Jake I shall tell you what they are, they are the metal inserts from discarded tyre valve's. While in one of my customers tyre shops I noticed one lying on the ground and as all modellers do I started thinking what use it could be, I think it's a passable antenna especially costing nowt Image the used valves are often changed when new tyre's are being fitted and the inserts are removed at this stage to let the air out quicker so they are usually lying around or thrown in the bin, I'm sure if you asked at your local tyre depot you could blag a few ( always handy ) there is a tool to get them out of the valve if they are still in there and it only takes a couple of turns to get the insert out, I usually cut the little lip at the bottom off to make it a flat base and it even leaves you with a nice little pin that can be fixed into the turret or a larger base, HTH Image

Cheers, Lee. ImageImageImage

That's a novel idea Lee, nice one! From what I can see in your pic's they look in scale too. I bet you can pick up the valves on ebay and the little tool..worth a look. Well thanks for the tip fella but I'm still stuck on the base for the Leo antenna's. Wonder if they could be 3D printed?

I found from the few 3D printed things I have had made is that small items can be very fragile and not suitable for an rc tank as they break easily, as the ariel sits right on the turret I'd say it's got a good chance of being broken off, that's just my opinion, I hope you find a solution for it

The actual kit to do these Canadian antennas is on the market.

I'll see if I can find the link...
