TK22 and Benedini Micro?
I have seen a few videos on You Tube where hobbyists have hooked up TK22 boards to Benedini Mini boards, and used the Benedini to get better engine sounds.
I was looking around over the past few days, and seeing what was what.
There is a Chinese company making a Benedini Micro clone. There are numerous mini amplifiers on Ebay.

I just ordered 5 of the amps for 99p??
The Das Mikro clone
http://www.banggood.com/Sound-Unit-for- ... 97656.html
The Micro board on its own is not very loud, but hooked up to a cheap amp, it is very loud indeed.
What I reckon should be possible is to hook up a TK22 (I have a Bulldog one but the Bulldog has been robbed for spares, so is a non runner), put whatever tank sounds I want on the Das Mikro board, and have any custom sounds I want? Yes, the Chinese have cloned the Benedini, hands up, this is playing into their hands, but to find out if this works, it has to be worth a try.

99p including postage from China? Methinks there are some major subsidies flying around.

Re: TK22 and Benedini Micro?
At that price I am pretty certain that it isn't me that is subsidising them, lol. They are available in the UK but cost around £3 each?
I've also ordered another two Arduino boards, they are only £5 each, so I should be able to get the Tiger running with a working system in it permanently, as well as have a working artillery gun.
If I can play around with a few more things, I am going to try the Project Panzer system on an Arduino 2560, and see about hooking up this sound system to it. Some cheap speed controllers and that will be another cheap system.

The only source at the moment seems to be Bangood via the link above. I have ordered from them before and the goods have always arrived fairly quickly.
As for hooking it up, a few have done it with the Benedini Mini, so I am guessing that this will not be that much different, there are a few videos on You Tube, but I think a member or two on here have done it.
I have an Arduino 2560 on the way, I'll load the Panzer Project onto it and see how it all hooks up on there as well, once I have got it running a tank.

Hi. I just found this benedini clone and looks promising for what it costs.
Can you put your own sounds on it, or should we use .tbs sounds? How much memory does it have?

Not got around to trying any of this out yet, it will probably end up being a winter project. As for the sound source, I am pretty certain that the Benedini sounds have to be used as they are in a unique proprietary format.

Re: TK22 and Benedini Micro?
If the benedini sounds must be used, then I wont buy the chinese copy (the original neither, its too expensive).
For downloading the benedini sounds we need an username and a password...
So unless somebody has the sounds and upload them on internet, the board has no use.

These are the reason there is now a password. Sounds and software are online you just have to do some digging.Rad_Schuhart wrote:If the benedini sounds must be used, then I wont buy the chinese copy (the original neither, its too expensive).
