Re: 1944 M36 B1 Tank Destroyer
Hi Painless,
Love that stowage rack (I need to contact eddyK soon i think) and the barrel lock too. I can't make my mind up at the moment whether or not to get the Schumo part myself or to re-work the original part - decisions, decisions..........

Hi, I have had a look around at the schumo parts and they seem a bit thin on the ground, often out of stock, who
would be a good supplier of these parts.
regards john.

I just have one rack left! And I'm not sure when I'll make some more...

Yes Sir Mr K, I am very unlikely to ever get a Sherman, but the gadget you have made is that good, I should just get the last one just to have it

Good morning, Gentlemen
Eddy, sounds like you are going to have to make more of those excellent Stowage Racks. You've got customers hammering at the doors ;o) Ludwig, go to etoarmor.com Robert is a great guy and gets regular Schumo shipments. You can buy from his site and he ships stuff out asap.
regards,
Painless

Re: 1944 M36 B1 Tank Destroyer
More detailing fun tonight. Nothing in the Post so I looked at the two working hatches and did a little research in the books and online. Some of the best photos that I can find with the hatches open show no leather pad on the hatch underside. That's a bit peculiar but maybe it had something to do with the 187 representatives of this make being hurriedly assembled and rushed to combat. Otherwise the hatches are like the standard M4A3 types and as I had a supply of brass, I spent a couple of hours on them. Pics:
