I got a turret from a Panther project dropped off yesterday.
Its going to be a Panzerturm feature for the NBRCTC battlefield.
Going to use as pile of .22LR Swift shell cases as spent 75mm shells.
That will be a new thread though !

The T34 is on hold just now waiting on some nifty goodies to arrive.
What they are I dont actually know, but they will influence the build so best wait.....................

Thanks Mr Ice, Im playing the waiting game at the moment with the fruity bits arriving any day.
As I tend to do with other guys builds, I will very likely fall in love with this & want to keep it !!!

Following along , should be a good build.
There's another image out there somewhere of German infantry using a wrecked T34 as a bunker by excavating the dirt under it.
Don't get your panties in a bunch , we still got hand weapons and the fifty!

Yes mate there's two real good ones. This one it really going to test me. Simple in concept, but tough to execute. I'm no Jimenez, and a burnt tank is a tough gig to pull off.
I'm humbled that guys will allow me to have a go at things on their behalf, so the least I can do is learn up, try my best, and give it a red-hot shot

Judging from your previous efforts, that red hot shot is gonna be hot indeed. 8)

It's a great idea for a static piece, Herman. I've got a whole heap of T-34 interior bits and bobs from my Trumpeter kit that I'd be more than happy to donate if you're interested. Obvious stuff like the motor/gearbox, but also important things like the suspension columns, seats and whatnot. I'll grab some photos if you like.

That would be very most excellent Mr Raminator, I have stuff coming, but until its here - its not !
This will be a static, but I hope to have the look bring life to the scene.
As I say, burn/fire/ heat affected paint job simulation is going to be a tough ask...........but its all good learning & I'm up for that ;)

Herman,
While browsing for turret interior parts for the M36B1 on Shapeways, I came across some interesting roadwheel sets. They are 'burnt' roadwheels for destroyed tank dioramas. 1/16 scale. Seemed to be several different varieties available. Something to look into maybe?

All the interior sprues, all but one are untouched (I needed the drivers' hatch interior). There's the motor, transmission, brakes, radiators, fuel tanks, bulkheads, crew seats, DT machinegun and ammo, and loads of small details. Should be enough to create the entire T-34 hull.

I'm never going to use them, so they're all yours if you like.
