Hello all! Been lurking around here for a few months so decided to join in. Was a member of UKTC many years ago and went to a couple of meets with them.

Been into RC tanks for years but lost interest until deciding to upgrade my standard HL stug iii, this forum sparking my enthusiasm again. Also my lovely wife got me a Torro JT for Crimbo which will be my next project.

Stug has new metal hull, gearboxes, running gear etc and will probably get better electrics as well. Also scratch built brass rear stowage rack and schurtzen.

Other tanks owned are Tamia KT and Tiger i with some mods and detailing, a standard HL JP and my pride & joy, a Wechoe Tamia KT conversation to a Jagdtiger, took 2 years to build and pushed me to my limit! Love JT's and at the time the Wechoe kit was the only option.

Really impressed with how the hobby has progressed and am looking forward to getting back into it and exploring upgraded? boards etc. I live in Wallsend, Tyne and Wear and hope to help any forum member near or far if possible.

Great to have you back/along mate. You seem to be a Jagdtiger tragic like my self.
I have access to a Wechoe JT base kit if I want, but as I found out about it after starting my conversion, I doubt I will go again !!

Welcome aboard. It's always good to gain experienced members. If you're thinking about new electronics for a StuG, you might get some ideas from this thread. I did my little StuG with an IBU and stuck it in sideways because it's airsoft so the cannon hangs way lower than the IR unit and that can really cause headaches.

Since that thread was done she's gotten a lot more work, and now she looks like this



Still needs a wash and some weathering, and the metal tow cables, but she's almost there. I also have a notek light I want to wire in, and of course she'll need some stowage.

Hi all, thanks for kind words. I have build photos for Wechoe JT but they were taken with a film camera it was so long ago so I'll see about scanning them.

That Stug is very familiar as i have learned a lot from your channel. The camo in your photo is the one I've chosen for Stug and I've also had my 1st go at zimmerit. Mine is the ir version so should have no problems with upgraded board, probably IBU 2 base or pro. One thing I really want to do is add traverse to Stug and JP, seen some on YouTube but no how to guides. Wechoe JT has a very complicated and fragile elevation/traverse and the whole thing is so delicate I'm actually scared to use it, that's why I got the Torro one!!

Anyway, thanks for welcome, see you on other parts of the forum.
