Another bloody Abrams.

Post by Rocketman »

Hi gang

Long time no speak.

Made the mistake of thinking I'd tweak a few bits on my Abrams and ended up falling down plasticard hill. Everytime I picked up a book there was another bit to make. Im going for a European scheme and adding in a full stowage load for a tank operating in a live battlefield setting. Hopefully a scenario we never see...

I think ive done all the mods I want, just need to finish the gunners shield and make the scope lenses, i could carry on for ever but had enough so time to get the rattle cans out to play over the weekend.

Barry!

Glad your on. Im buying clear resin for the scopes now. Pink or magenta ? I'm leaning towards magenta myself....

I'm starting casting again this weekend. Ive built myself a vacuum chamber to remove any bubbles in the mold so should be able to get even finer details now.

Hiya

I have a supplier of my resin that does clear resin in a range of colours. magenta looks the closest to the anti laser coating on the Abrams perscopes. Ill cast these in thsi material then the modeller just needs to pant the backs and sides in black and insert into the aperture. Simples :)

Hiya

All the white bits you see are built in plasticard by me and sorry not available as a kit. The stowage and other add on items items will be available in about 10 days.

That looks really great. I mean, really excellent work. Perhaps if I had done all that to my Abrams it would have sold by now. :S
