WW2 British Figures

Does anyone know of a source for any British full length figures in World War 2 uniform? 1/16th or 1/18 scale will do.

Since Verlinden closed down last year, Richard, it looks as if no one has taken up the reins. There are plenty of pictures online of Verlinden Tommies, but I expect it'll be a case of scouring the used market, and Ebay to get your hands on one. Pity there are no moulds out there, though. I used to make plaster cast models from moulds. Badly..I might add; there was always a nose missing, a finger, or worse.

Otherwise as RecceReg said your best bet would be ebay for Verlinden who did do a few British figures.

Quality figures, but expensive for what I have in mind. I am going to be in need of figures for an artillery team. Almost certainly they will have to be substantially modified so the cheaper the better, I'm afraid.

BBI Elite force did make one British Para figure in 1:18.

we have just got involved 1/16 figures , the 1st product is on water now , docking in 2-3 weeks time .
Not 100% satisfied with the first go of resin figure ( British tank commander 1/16) , but not bad i may say ?

will be coming with 2 versions : painted and white body . see attachments.

I didn't give it a second thought when I looked at the images on Thingiverse, he has superimposed faces on the models. The reason he has done this is because on the printed ones the faces are just flat with a bump for a nose. The rest of the figures are quite detailed, but because of the pose, it creates a lot of very small and narrow features that a printer can't cope with, eg a rifle barrel printed horizontally is so thin that it just won't work. He would have been better off creating these figures in parts like a kit.

Is it possible to remove the head and ancillary bits? Heads are relatively easy to find and things like rifles etc would have to e chopped off anyway? To save high-jacking your build thread, I am reposting this to my British figures thread.

I have been investigating converting photos to 3D model. Unfortunately, the free software that comes top of the recommendations has been removed from the market and replaced with a commercial product @ $25 a month! I managed to track down a copy, but it refuses to run on either of my machines. The only other stuff I can find is strictly for the educational market. Though I need educating in the subject, I can't fulfill the criteria.

However, the only way to get good 3D scans is with hardware, eg a laser, as reviews on the web of all of the photogrammetry systems seem to indicate that none of them work well.
