Hi All

After adjusting the track tension the tank now gets in and out of soft soil much better.
I`v also added all the bits and bobs that came in the box, grab handles and the steel
tow cables, I`ve added some spare steel cables and the universal logs.

Can you please tell me more about the "plastic thingies"? Are they the kind you nail in? Like they use for TV cable? Only smaller? Where can I get some?

Great looking tank! I have one also and am quite impressed with it. Yours looks awesome!

They are cable clips - you can get them from B&Q, Screwfix, Homebase etc or if you are in the good old USA then it would be Homedepot.
Look for the very small ones, you can get square profile ones as well, they might look better.

Hi Mike.

Could you explain how much you adjusted the tension in the track? I know the procedure, but gave up the adjustment as I could'nt see how the track got more slacky by the possible positions of the adjuster.

So please enlighten me:
Which way did you turn the wheel? Clock Wise Conter or Clockwise looking from the inside or outside?

Or is it easier to add a track link - it seem too much in my opinion?

Hi mate.
From memory I moved the adjuster round by one hole.
I can't remember now which way CW or CCW.
The idler wheel moves up a little and reduces the tension.
If I have any more problems I might add an extra track link and then readjust.

Not sure on the Torro, but on my H/L the adjuster is eccentric.
If you move it clockwise as viewed from the outside the idler will likely move forward(tightening the track) but if you add links(you will need one drive tooth and one flat) you can get the tension close to right by manipulating the idler position.
Just so you have an easy time of the tracks, use plain dress making pins to hold them together and once you are happy, put the correct pins in.

Its trial and error im afraid.................
