I am dreadfully sorry Pete but I did warn you,
Dom is also selling 360 degree METAL turret rings with bearings in two sizes, the smaller size--- Panzer 4/Tiger 1 is out of stock,
I think I bought the last ones, but the larger size for Abrams/King Tiger are available.
Shaun.

Hi Shaun
Having dismantled mine for painting and weathering, I've got to say as I took the turret ring off I was pretty underwhelmed with the plastic one and have been wondering if I could get a metal one - you have just set me a new task, I've got get me one! I have some time before I get to the reassemble stage, just enough time for the 'flexible friend' to recover :-)

Between you and I, I reckon I have spent as much in accessories, washes, powders, paint and things that didn't work as I did buying the tank in the first place.
Great isn't it?!

Cheers mate!
I really am enjoying the whole project. The more I get into it the more I want to do. I haven't put a timescale on the project but this is not a problem, it will take as long as it takes.

I have come to the conclusion myself: The project is the hobby... Not the finished tank... Although I am thinking of taking shortcuts to start painting and weathering and to send the cat around the yard.
