Just screwed the gearboxes down, I amazed it runs very nicely, the sprockets work perfectly, not even a hint of detracking. The turret rotates, but I am not installing barrel elevation, it's more of a pain that of any use. I tested it on an RX18, but will pull a TK22 out of a tank and then configure the servo recoil that is in there. The muzzle flash is already in there, so is the IR emitter. I'll put sensors inside some stowage on the turret and hull.

I am pretty much pushed for space on the pcb, an RX18 fits so a TK22 will. That means a TK24 will, but maybe not a TK60. So I may have to explore getting a TK24 re-flashed with Comet engine sounds just to finish it off nicely. If anyone has the dimensions of a TK60 it might open my options up.

You are correct I confirmed it with Mr Maxmekker before I ordered I tk60 for my Nashorn. It's not too big for all the features! Even a tk24 would suit just fine Mr Wibbly

Hi Rob that is brilliant, absolutely awesome!

I bet after all those hours of coding/printing/modifying/reprinting/assembly you are chuffed and rightly so.

An inspiration to me to investigate my Centurion plans.

I'm currently installing a Bulldog Tk22 in there to test things. The geared servo works well.

I am kicking myself actually. I installed a toggle switch in my tx to use as a fire button, and tested it on my Elmod Panther. It worked fine so I didn't think any more of it. I start the Comet with the TK22 and the gun wouldn't stop firing. It seems that the Elmod didn't care which way the toggle switch went, it just detected a voltage change to fire the gun. The TK22 detects a live contact. So, I took the transmitter apart to swap one of the terminals to the other side, and disconnected the back panel to do it. Put it all back together and discovered that disconnecting the panel erases the binding. Luckily all of my tanks are bound to the same transmitter so rebinding one rebound all of them.

I then realise that for all these years that I have been running Clark boards I had the channels wrong, the fire button was now activating the start engine and rotation controls, so I am busy re jigging thsoe...which means taking three tanks apart. Grrrr...

Full test run in HD at the club tank meet today, fish eye lens effect makes the barrel look bent, lol, trust me it is straight.

W.W.,
Sir, it is a working thing! Absolutely sure that you can't do elevation? How about some lighting? Recoil works perfectly.

Painless
