Torro T34/85

Post by Newage »

Hi All

This is the latest addition to my WW2 1/16 scale tank collection.
This is a special edition Torro all metal T34/85 - Straight out of the box.
In the box of bits that comes with the tank are metal towing cables and all the body grip handles these will need to be put on ASAP also the next task is to re-tension the tracks. Having ragged it around the garden and getting the tracks to jam at every turn, they are just too tight.

The thing that is truly amazing is the difference in size between the Tiger1/Jagdtiger and the T34/85, I know the T34/85 is a medium tank and the Tiger`s are heavy`s
but even so, the T34/85 is a tiny little monster when parked next to the huge Jagdtiger.

Thanks for looking.

Looks very nice Mike does it some with track tensioners built in? That would make for an easy fix. Have fun

Hi Mate

I`v had a quick read of the user manual and I have to take off the front idler wheels and rotate the mounting and then
bolt them back on, looks to be just one screw.

That's a good-looking tank, Mike. I had one myself for a while. A lot of the Allied tanks look very small when sitting next to the German tanks. The JT was just a total beast at 80 tons.

What have you got planned for it? Will you be putting in better Electronics or anything like that? I'll be looking forward to seeing more pictures of your good looking tanks.
When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!

Nice T34 Mike.
Surprised to hear that the tracks are too tight, all the Torro tanks I've bought have run faultlessly straight off.
Like your Jagdtiger even more than the T34

Have the same tank. Track tension is very easy.

Just take off the tracks and its one screw, for each idler from the inside of the tank.

Go to 5:58 and Eric tells you what to do ;)

I like my Torro T34 a lot, its a really good runner and seems to take a fair amount of abuse. Since I don't have any Lipos I found you have to rearrange the insides to fit a normal sized battery. A few extras make them look really good.

Hi guys
Thanks for all the positive comments.
I spent the afternoon adding a few bits and bobs, steel tow cables, hand rail.
The tracks have been slacken off a little.

And the universal logs have been added.
I'll add some extra pictures in the morning.
