Howdy all from Tulsa, OK!
I've been an admirer of tanks all my life. Retired military of 22 years and was a turret mechanic in the M551, M60 series tanks and the M1- M1A2 tanks. I enjoy collecting tanks when I can. I purchased the HL M1A2 1/16 scale upgraded tank. I would appreciate any and all help, advise on any and all upgrades for this model. Thanks guys, in advance and look forward to working with you guys!

Ive done a bit of time in Tulsa, mostly in Enid Okh, love the place.
Sounds like you have the tank thing worse than most
As for Abrams builds, there are a few outstanding examples in the modern section in HL builds, plenty of ideas and guidance.

As for 'hop ops' to the M1 you have a fair share of cool stuff
New electronics for better drive control/sound
servo operated recoil/elevation unit
track adjuster
metal tracks
gearbox uppgrade

Thanks MichaelC and the rest... I've been working on tank turrets for a while and retired now. If you have any tech questions on the real tanks, the ones I maintained in the army, I'll be grad to answer with what I know. They've been a bit of a passion to me. Nothing like hearing and feeling the true concussion of a 120mm cannon...
The M551 is 152mm with the shillelagh missile and were great to fire on the range and an enjoyment to maintain. So for now I'll be asking you all how and where's of the 1/16 upgrades. Thanks all.
