FlySky Fire Button?
Has anyone fitted a fire button to a FlySky tx? If so, how did you do it? Or, if anyone knows where to connect a button that information would be most welcome.

Re: FlySky Fire Button?
Hi wibbly. With fire buttons I think you mean monentary switches-push buttons. I have a flysky th9xb. I have done a lot of mods to it. It has sound, color screen, I replaced one pot for a 6 position switch and I replaced four 2-position switches for 3-position ones. Now Im going to install an internal module so I can have 24 channels. And I might install a couple of push buttons just for fun.wibblywobbly wrote:Has anyone fitted a fire button to a FlySky tx? So yes, that means you can install wathever you want in the radio but of course you need to upgrade the radio firmware with this: http://smartieparts.com/shop/index.php? ... cts_id=383
Or upgrade your firmware and boost your radio at the same time with this: http://www.ar9x.net/
Im not using those boards (I have a 9xtreme, which is discontinnued) but it wont be very different.
Anyway if you have any questions you can ask at www.openrcforums.com The people there has LOADS of knowledge and they can guide you much better than I.

Re: FlySky Fire Button?
Mine is an FS-T6, so although I can assign the existing switches and rotary controls to channels, what I am trying to figure out is how to assign a momentary switch to the top position on the left stick, which is the fire position. I know it used to be quite easy on Planet tx's, but I've never seen it done on a Flysky like mine.
I never about the OpenRCforum, so thanks for the link.

I've fitted a fire button on this TX..it's like the Planet..wired into the top and middle connections of the left stick pot..

remember...it's just a plastic tank...

I used to have one of those....
But sold it.
I'll take a look and see if I can do the same mod on the FS-T6, it seems that the OpenRC forum guys mainly deal with open source firmware...all I need is a button.

Re: FlySky Fire Button?
Presumably, the same can be done to my FlySky i6? It would be a lot better than using the stick, which frequently works the elevation instead of firing the gun.

Yes, it should work on any tx really. I just used a sprung toggle switch as it is easier to reach when controlling the sticks. Left the original switch still wired in inside the case, it can stay there quite happily.
I will post up a pic in the tips section on how to have a switch the enables/disables the elevation, it saves a lot of hassle.

Re: FlySky Fire Button?
Lol, I thought you wanted to add a push button, not just to replace one switch.
Yes, that could be done in any transmitter.
