Re: MATORRO JAGDTIGER CONVERSION
Absolutely beautiful mr. Herman I am very pleased to see that you've got it put together and then it's running now looking forward to seeing how you finish it. I am very interested in seeing it in primer (like its coming from the assembly line) I'm sure it'll be very very nice

Tanks alot....

Re: MATORRO JAGDTIGER CONVERSION
Thanks for the belief mate
Finally getting into the details to finish this epic.
Have spent time over the last 2 days altering spring position in the front and rear roadwheels.
Its about balance. The gearbox set in the front, and the barrel assembly, then the over hang at the rear which with my smoker, really leverages over the back end.
Ended up using heavy duty springs I had from ages ago & never used- and they were clocked 90 degrees.
The front ones were Taigen springs- clocked 180 degrees.
Has taken quite a few attempts to get right, but I reckon Ive sorted it.
The tracks needed full lengths plus 6 links added, but I took out 2 links to run them a bit tight. The 6 link extension worked, but used up much of the tensioner travel, and opened the gap from Idler to roadwheel a bit much.
Aesthetically, I like the long sloppy tracks, but for now I will run them slightly tight until they get a bit of run time & see if they settle in.
If not, I can add links & use the tensioner to get them right & look past the enlarged gap.
For now, its hatch handle time

I have an extra set of metal King Tiger tracks you can have if you like. Then you'll just need the extra links!
Also have a TPA you can have too.
PM me to work out details!

Looking good mate.
Can you just wire in an inline switch to turn on/off your smoker?

Just over pissing around with electronics.

Use of the hairy stick is not dead after all..............and the scenery technique is amazing.

The TPA is a 2 channel amp. Channel 1 is for the engine sounds, channel 2 gun sounds. This is the way the IBU3 should have been done too IMHO cause this way you can individually adjust the sound levels so it sounds just right .
Do you need metal tracks?

"To anti-aircraft armoured vent plates- or not to anti-aircraft armoured vent plates" that is the question. ?
