A static version of that one very soon, but with a better sculpt.

That was pretty complex, with a linear servo in the torso on a gimbal. Unfortunately, those micro linear servos are not reliable, a literal spec of dust can trip them (trust me, I've used them in Ultra Micro AC and have had many crashes due to ailerons locking after flying on the deck over dirt).

If I ever get a chance at the bench, I plan on using Arduino to animate an entire Tiger I skeleton crew with opening/closing hatches, etc.

I could produce a skeleton TC with side to side head movement and maybe some rudimentary head lifting, or one that just looks up and down as if he's searching for the Typhoon that got him, but the side to side with lift is out.

2) any thought to hollowing the goggles so it is just the frame? I ask because you could paint the helmet through them and then make clear lenses by drawing clear Elmer's school glue across the frames to make the lenses. (technique I learned recently) That would give them some depth. Maybe there is a better way...

I can't say because I don't have a Pershing. The Sherman TC leaning out of the hatch fits the cast M4 hatch, I'm not sure of whether the Pershing uses the same hatch. The animated guy only really interacts with the hatch with his left arm, so I would think unless the Pershing hatch is narrower, he'd be fine. I'm not up on my US armor, but I'd assume the production line manufacturing of US tanks would mean the hatches, cupolas, etc are interchangeable whenever possible, especially since they are cast parts.

In terms of goggles, I prefer what you are asking, cutting clear styrene to fit is tough, but the recess can be filled with a host of different materials, like Vallejo water effects, or Testors Krystal Klear. Problem is though, not everyone has the ability or want to fill them, so I'd have to provide the clear lenses, so it's easier to just cast them solid and the end user can paint them tinted and a Gloss topcoat.

Detail like that is worked into figures for the painter/collector market, but the price is 2 to 3 times these.
