Taigen KV-1 Electrics HELP NEEDED

Post by Captain Hilts »

Hello , I just bought a Taigen KV-1 with what I was told only needed the motherboard to run ? so on arrival when I connected the taigen board that I had spare , I found that everything worked ok apart from the airsoft main gun did nothing , no sound no fire , then I noticed 2 cut wires , 1 black from the on/off switch the other red from the power in plug , I'm thinking someone has tried to cut out the track recoil and thus nothing now works ? So what I need to know is where do these 2 wires reconnect to. If anybody has a Taigen/Torro KV-1 can you send me pictures of the interior wiring please or any electrical gurus please help, oh also noticed at the moment when I push the fire stick up to fire the barrel also goes up and down with out sound ? I will attach photo of cut wires . Thanks

I know the red wire coming from the battery to the board hooks up directly to the turret. There should be a matching wire cut coming from there turret. A matching heavy wire.

It splits off in a Y on my Taigen Tiger tank. Not sure about the black wire on the switch.

Here is the same power switch setup in your photo. It's for an infrared tank.

The red wire that splits off goes to my Taigen Tiger turret

That's for IR system :problem: This one I have is Airsoft, I also have a Taigen Tiger Airsoft and it doesn't have a thick power cable to the turret . I doesn't have the same set up as the KV

Correct so the extra red wire is from an IR tank. Maybe someone swapped the power cable. Your airsoft tank should have a small pair of wires that come directly from the turret to the board. This is for the micro switch that causes the gun to fire and track recoil. Do you have that plugged in?

Here's a non IR power switch.

See no spare red wire.

Now look at the wiring for the switch itself.

Yes there is a red and black wire coming from the micro switch , I did have that plugged in and nothing .also I notice that my power switch dosnt have a red live wire it only 3 black wires 1 of which is my mysterious cut wire.

This is strange. If the wire powering the tank was not connected I don't think it would start. Be nice to get a schematic of the switch and match it up to my pictures of the new switch. I'm sure someone on here can help you.
