M4A3 76mm, with distinctive 76mm mantlet  . This tank has a closed turret, with a Commander's hatch etc., unlike the M36 or M10. Didn't the M10s and M36s have sloping side armour, where the M4 series had vertical side armour, often reinforced with appliqué armour to protect dry- stored munitions..and minimise the 'Tommy Cooker' barbecue effect.. The Germans were running out of tanks by this stage in the war, and were happy to use anything the allies obliged them with..

The irony was the Germans had plenty of tanks but lacked trained crews and fuel!

This one still looks like it has British crew.
Either a photo shop cross , or was recaptured back into British hands.
Don't get your panties in a bunch , we still got hand weapons and the fifty!

Never mind captured and recaptured US hardware. Here's a tank the Germans definitely didn't want to recapture...even though it came with it's own early RX (as witness contented GI until he pressed the wrong button..them KABOOM...:D )
