IBU rvc (remote volume control)

Post by MichaelC »

Hi all,

Saw this on the IBU Home website. What is it about ? I know I can do this on IBU3, but on the website it says IBU2 which is interesting, since IBU2 Base only supports 4 channel.

I took a look

http://www.ibu-electronics.com/ibu_rvc_31.html

and it's just what it says, just like the vipers that RCTA used to sell. Plug it in where the volume pot goes on the IBU and the other end into your receiver on an extra channel with a pot and you have volume control from the TX. Kind of a receiver controlled pot. As soon as Tankbear gets some I'll have him wing a couple across the puddle.

Thanks Max. What a dumb bunny I was. I thought he meant IBU2s can do it on the board itself like IBU3s. I had vipers before I sold them all so I know what this is all about. Thanks !

Michael

The IBU3 has the remote volume feature as standard, so rvc isn't needed.

Like max says it's like the old viper so can be used with any electronics which has the standard HL or taigen 3pin volume pot.

I've got some on order so I will have them in stock in the next few weeks.

Good timing Ian, I just bu**ered up one of my Vipers and finding a replacement was going to be hard work.

Michael, I'm curious, why did you sell your vipers? I've found they can be a bit finicky at times, but since (until now) they were the only game in town for TX controlled volume I have quite a few and I'm always looking for more. Hopefully the IBU RVC will be everything I need and it will be great to once again have a steady supply of decent receiver controlled pots.

Any idea how long it will be until you have these in stock?

Think I should have in about 2 weeks time but until I get my dispatch notification I can't be 100% certain.
