Henglong Sherman platinum tank post 2
just a quickie,
now my other tank crew figure has arrived ,
they are both in place,
++ whilst I was at it I also sorted out the stashing of the various items of kit on the tank
most I used good old liquid poly cement to put them on,
as the double sides pads were to bulky,

Are you painting the metal tracks and wheels?

Stowage could do with a repaint, spend some time looking at photos for how they were attached and lashed on.

Really does need a coat of jam on those wheels and bogys. Just grab a can of Tamiya Olive Drab spray paint. The wheels all come off easy enough.
The tracks need some colour as well.
Don't get your panties in a bunch , we still got hand weapons and the fifty!

Now, I'm sure all the lads here want you to be successful in getting the most out of your Sherman, but we all tend to differ in our abilities. I've always believed that you only get out of something, what you put in, so a bit of thinking is needed here.

Personally, I cant wait to finish a project, but at my age, the fun is in the chase or in the work carried out without rushing it. I'm not as accomplished as some of the lads here, but I'm not one to cut to the finish either. :D

That metal suspension is going to need paint and will need undercoating first. Why not go the whole hog and prepare for a coat of Olive Drab all over? Of course, the stowage will have to come off, as will the tracks, transfers but that is all part of the fun. Doing the detail is the fun. At the end, you will be so glad you did the hard yards.

And dump those decals that come with the Sherman for something different ;) My last project started life like this and it still isn't finished which is fine-
