The Tarr mod is the thin end of this insidious hobby's wedge! That's how it gets you. First mod is the deepest, to mix in a metaphor: but you can take it or leave it..after all, it's just one upgrade.Then there'll be the camo scheme; the bespoke ( yes, bespoke) decals and custom extras... and...metal tracks requiring beefed up gearboxes.. and, before you know it, your tank (RC) collection will begin to multiply exponentially You have been warned!

I can believe that! I intend to not overindulge where I can- I've already blown a wad of cash on an airbrush to paint this beast with- this will be my first airbrushed model as well as my first RC one! That said, the airbrush will come in very handy for future AFV projects I have lined up in 1/35th (not RC!) Although I may do something about the sound in the fullness of time- I just want to get this Tiger painted, up and working first.

I bought a couple of neat transparent storage boxes from Amazon, at the outset of this lunacy...just for those things that might 'come in handy' later. I then marked one box: 'Tank parts', the other: 'RC tools'.
I now have ten such boxes- of ever increasing proportions- bursting out of what used to be a sizeable storage closet, and now the capacious airing cupboard too. Lately, the categories have also evolved from 'coming in handy', to 'future projects' (also growing exponentially..), and even to 'legacy items' for generations to come. The latter, because there's no way I'll complete these things in what's left of my potential lifespan!! ...even in the unlikely event that I manage to become a centenarian in the not so distant future...
