PzKpfw KW II 754(r)

Post by lmcq11 »

Hi, this is a PzKpfw KW II 754(r), captured Russian KV-2 in German service. It is the standard Heng Long KV-1 and electronics with the plastic Torro plug and play airsoft conversion turret and other accessories. It is a good and cheap conversion. It would be easy to make it a strait Russian KV-2 It's a good fighter too, Stugs beware as it can run strait over you. The only item I would like to replace is the ugly head lamp at the front. Did not see any replacement available that looks like the Tamiya.
Regards, Louis

Good evening,
I've got one of these made from the Taigen metal KV-1 and the Torro turret. I fixed the headlamp by sanding the surface flat and using the Tamiya ring and lens to correct it's appearance. Since then I've learned that there are nice lens and ring combos available without having to buy a Tamiya sprue. The KV-2 is one of my favorite tanks and certainly has presence anywhere it is run. One of the early 'Big Barn' turret conversions is on my list of Builds for this year.
regards,
Painless
