I actually looked for the availability of these today.
Nil stock....as usual.
No notification of when there will be- as usual.

I can get an elmod or Clark board- to Australia from overseas, quicker than he can supply an ASP.

A bit like Toyota Landcruisers..............no good having the best 4X4 work truck on the planet if no one can purchase for a lack of supply.

Supply & demand

- plenty supply= demand increases accordingly
- no supply= demand drops off to reflect supply & market share is lost.

Not a judgement but rather an indication of why local business suffers from on line purchases now.

Ditto what Herman said. I've been after an ASP for a while now.... Never available when I look. I reached out to Kevin and he said production should start soon due to Chinese New Year parts and bits to make the boards are not available....

Now I hear all the add on boards such as the ATRC are no longer being produced...WTH

I have to give credit to Clark and IBU for thier production and distributionImage Image

I will also be trying to install a ELmod soon as its readily available in the US

Just to add that the Elmod sounds are certainly not taken from a low quality You Tube video, run through numerous compression and decompression systems and copied onto their boards. They are created by a professional sound studio, and the board uses a very high quality system to process them. The sounds don't repeat, they constantly vary, so start up, running, acceleration, gearchanges, and braking are all in there. It's an intelligent system, not one that simply responds to the stick movement, the sounds respond to the tank movement. That's why it works so well.

You don't push the stick forward and the tank takes off, you push the stick forward and the driver blips the throttle, puts it into gear, and then its slowly starts moving, and without the user doing anything it changes gear, jolts, and carries on accelerating. Being able to do things like change the track speed individually on turns makes for very realistic movement. If anyone wanted a 12v system they will do that, and you can plug external esc's in if you need to (1/6 scale etc). There is a huge library of selectable engine sounds, guns, machine guns etc all included, so you can swap say, gun sounds, around if you want to.

As for volume, as anyone who has been stood in a hall with five tanks running will tell you, the blissful peace and quiet that resumes when they are all turned off is a welcome relief. Having a 'loud tank than everyone else' is no huge benefit, they aren't that loud in real life, they would have a hard time creeping up on the enemy if they were.

I have no commercial interest in Elmod, but I have tried most of the systems out there, and for the money, the ease of installation, and functionality, they are at the top of the tree. They have an English forum, and excellent after sales, they speak perfect English and advise against using dodgy online translators, they prefer that you communicate in English.

It never ceases to amaze me that someone posts information about one system, and then people start posting information about other systems? If anyone wants to make a video about a system then do it, and create a new thread. If someone wants to start a discussion on comparing different systems, then you can do that too.

Great overview on Elmod..seems like quite a fantastic system. I think by posting about one system people wonder and ask and think about what else is out there. If done in that spirit of curiosity that is great..and a comparative systems discussion is cool. I think when the I am right you are wrong thing happens..it can devolve into something non productive. Anyway my 2 cents on that. And having said that..after having looked at the TCB open system do you see anything lacking with it that Elmod is currently doing? (Though as pointed out it hasn't been tested so this is a bit of a "in theory" question right now :)

Well the video of the ASP show it is a nice unit. I do have a stake in ElMod of course, but I have been a fan of them since way before I distributed them in the USA. I still believe they are the best all around system on the market. And I still believe that everyone is entitled tot heir own opinion. That is why there are multiple selections in this hobby. Different flavors as they say.
I try to always have the boards in stock and if I do not, I will have them back in within a couple of weeks time. As always I wish you all the best and hope you keep enjoying this fantastic hobby.

When the Elmod is plugged in and you are setting and adjusting..can you do that as the tank is active..and adjust and check things real time
or do you need to load the program check adjust?

Yes, you can have the tank on blocks and check your changes live before disconnecting from the PC.

Thanks! Great feature. One last question..I was asking how the random squeaks are done on some systems and it seems on some systems
they sound less than convincing as opposed to a long squeaking clip playing over the engine sound or where the actual running sound is
integrated with the track noise. Curious how it works on the Elmod and how it sounds to your ear (the track movement squeak)
