I think if we compare apples to apples the elmod IBU and Clark tk60 are not in the same discussion as the TBS. The TBS must be supported as these do not.

For sound I would put the Beier electronics board right there.

I am a big Clark tk60 fan and I'd say they are all very nice sounding IMHO.

Ok, so first thing is Beir and Benedini are dedicated sound boards which are going to be better than anything else. However they are almost as much as an ElMod board and do virtually nothing but sound. As for the ElMod sound compared to others mentioned, they are depending on the quality of the audio files and skill of the guy putting them together. In truth they are the same type of files so it comes down to the files and of course the speaker you use. Fit a Tamiya speaker with ElMod and it is raging loud. Of course I did not make the video to push ELMOd but to show that it is easy to install and you can do more with it than any of the other boards I have come across.

Joe I have to admit I have never installed an elmod before but have owned a tank that used one. After watching the video of the install and setup it looks very nice and easy to setup

That was my thought sound wise so wouldn't the TCB board with the TBS be quite a formidable combination with sound quality
and seeming endless functions and options? Looks easy to use as well. The primary reason I am looking at the TCB is that
I already have a TBS and Sabertooth motor drivers with a DBC/BARC and love the simplicity and sound and the TCB does a lot
more. But I love that so many options are out there getting great reviews!

Great video Joe. Very informative and it really shows off the amazing range of configurable settings on the Elmod board.
In terms of sound, to my ears my old Elmod Pro board (the model before the current Fusion) is louder and clearer than my IBU3 using the same speaker. The ability to set individual volumes for different sounds really makes a difference too. It never sounds right to me when the main gun blends in with the engine idle.

The question is the wrong way around. If you have never had an Elmod board you wouldn't understand. The other boards on the market aren't even close and never have been. I have two, and would install them in all my tanks if I could afford it.

The new open source board is great in principle, but, as we have all learnt with all new kids on the block, no one knows how reliable they are until someone installs one and tries it out. You will need speed controllers, an amp, and a soundcard. Even without the TCB board you are looking at a lot of money. The Elmod is all on one board, nothing else to buy,

The multi channel sound system, sound quality and tank drive dynamics really do make you feel like you are driving a 50 ton tank via your tx. It's something that no other system can do.
