Thank you Mr Painless I greatly appreciate your kind words. For a while I did contemplate removing the gearbox assembly and installing a dual motor ( modern gearbox setup) but just couldn't bring myself to do it. I'm glad I didn't and now that she is running ( and I've had this tank for a very long time) it's very rewardingPainlessWolf wrote:CR73,
I have always loved those old Tamiya King Tigers with the single motor clutches. They are mechanical artwork. Yours is a wonderful example of the type and shows the care and detail used to bring it to life.

Beautiful bit of kit there Carl, you've done a fantastic job restoring it and bringing it to life. The volume pots hidden behind the skirts is an especially nice touch.
