Ahh 1/72 - 1/76 scale...............
Back in the day I had a cabinet 6 Ft long X 2 feet deep X 4 feet high shelved out with an entire scale German division
Hasegawa, Fujimi, Matchbox, Airfix, scratchbuilds, Nitto................just an insane number of over 350 model AFV's & troops that numbered at a shade short of 2 thousand ...............
all traded for an adventure into 10th scale RC offroad cars thanks to the Tamiya Fast Attack Vehicle and then the Hotshot
Oh what I wouldnt give for those all back now.

Good morning, Tiggr,
All of those vehicles have build threads here on the Forum with pics and descriptions. Some are more complete than others due to ongoing builds or vice versa, awaiting start dates. I did take a few pics that day of the shelving units and will include them here. Pics:

Re: Tamiya Early Tiger 1 Static to RC Build
Mornin' Herman,
I hear you, Sir. When I left NC for Colorado at the young age of 20, I donated a Division's worth of 1/35 scale armor and trucks from Germany, England, the US and Russia and Japan. The towns Public Library used them for dioramas to get kids interested in reading about History. When I visited my hometown a few years back, the Library had been moved and renovated but they still had a few of my vehicles in storage to use for dioramas in the main Reading Room. It was nice to know that I had a small and positive impact somewhere. *chuckles*

Re: Tamiya Early Tiger 1 Static to RC Build
The ECW plugs from China showed up yesterday. Once household chores were done today, I sat down ( or rather stood up at the counter ) to begin new work on this Tiger. Tonight, I pulled the turret apart and was very glad to see that the roof came off easily as it should. I mounted a rare earth magnet in the turret fan housing and a small steel washer in the armored cover after checking for fitment. I used some 24 hour epoxy on those and on the magnet mounted under the stand for the Commander. He will get a small steel washer or rectangle as well to ensure he stays in the turret when the tank is under power. Now that these steps are finished I can do final detail painting of the turret. More this weekend. Pics:
