Good to see that the King of Corrosion has not quit the throne just yet. Having admired your other perished Panzer efforts, I'd been waiting for another quantum leap in Armoured 'shabby chic'; and this example doesn't disappoint. A detailed description of tools, techniques, and materials used would be appreciated, I'm sure.

Yep, in answer to your question, Eddie. I'm sure many would benefit from knowing how you applied paint and texture in the most realistic areas of your models. Did you use for example : sponge, fine sable brushes, spray etc. or a combination? Maybe you flick some gritty textures on (like pebble-dashing) etc. I find a sponge quite handy, myself. Ok, we're not members of the 'Magic Circle' around here, but some do create bits of magic here and there, and it's good to share the tricks..

I am really interested in the rust and weathering effect you have achieved on the tracks. Would you be able to put a frontal photo of the tank or do you have a shot of the tracks please?
I am planning to 'muddy' my Tiger 1 up a bit but realistically i should rust up the tracks first.

Here's a rear pic , to be honest i have replaced these tracks with some metal ones now since pic was taken . But this how they were.

This view is excellent. Exceptional weathering and details. I've always been impressed with the view of the Tiger I from the rear hull.

It's even more rusty and dusty than the other photos

Eddie I am also very interested in your track painting process. Maybe a few photos during your next build and we can follow along.

You seem to make them really crusty and rusty I also see some metallic maybe rubbed on like a Tamiya weathering kit? Or is that the metallic paint showing through

I spray the whole track in a metallic steel, rattle can as it is cheaper and easier. Once dry I seal with a matt varnish prior to adding rust pigments, once on I wipe off the excess with a cloth prior to fully drying or, if it is for a RC model, leave as it will wear with the tracks. If I have overdone it in places I dry brush with Revell aqua-colour steel.

I would suggest starting your own thread in the appropriate build section, according to what make your tank is, if it is a build of course. If it is a finished model you wish to show off, then a new thread in this forum would be appropriate.
