Bundeswehr Leopard 1 A4 and a Gepard Flakpanzer

Post by Pcomm1 »

Up and running Leopard 1A4 video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7whfaftMg0

The Leo 1 is my model, a keeper, and this is the last of both Tamiya Leopard and Gepard collaboration modelling builds with Daryl.

The commissioned work in progress (almost finished) Gepard Flakpanzer uses a BARC electronics system, Benedini sound, dual speakers and a new Futaba 8J transmitter (8 channels). A Gepard ops video later (maybe) and I sent the model back to Daryl Turner to complete a few details and present the model to the new owner.

Next up is a metal Torro IR Jagdtiger collaboration build to be converted to Tamiya Tiger DMD, MF and TBU electronics. Will add main gun traverse and install a Tamiya Pershing recoil unit, the modelling will start this month

Enjoy, John

Any chance of seeing a few closeups of the deck lifting/locking mechanism? I'd been thinking myself of devising some quick-entry mechanism that didn't involve magnets, Taigen's quick-release mechanism, or a combination of both?
