Anybody Know About Modern Armored Glass?

Post by Max-U52 »

I'm trying to do the scopes on the M1, and it's proving problematic. This video shows what I've been experimenting with, somebody show me an easier way!! :S ;)

I searched every keyword I could think of in Tips and Tricks, and no joy, so if anyone has a tried and true system you'll be my Hero for at least 20 minutes. :haha: :haha: :haha: :/ :/

You Da Man!! That's freakin' perfect! After reading carefully I ordered it. You get four sheets all together, in two different colors, and each sheet is 3x6". The seller even recommends Testors canopy cement, which is exactly what I'm using and show in the video. The bad news is that the periscopes are once again on hold while we wait for materials. :'(

But, while I wait I can take a look around for cool .50 cals I can flagrantly copy. @) I'm going to search for them, but if anyone knows a good thread for detailing the machine guns on the Abrams it would save me some time. I'm all for cheating on this part! I might even pop for a tammy for the Ma Deuce.

I think I read that the smaller MG is a 203? I'll have to research that. I just saw an Abrams with detailed machine guns that looked really good, now I just have to remember where. Stupid Hippie Brain! Doh!

Gary glad I could help. Have fun! I am waiting for my Imex order so in the meantime I'm tackling some other projects

Isn't this the part of the hobby that stimulates what's left of our brains so we tinker about until the parts arrive...

So here's an update.

So what do you guys think? And should I use the same color for the TC periscopes or maybe use the green there?

Gary I'm not that familiar with modern day tanks but the lenses in the video had a very nice effect. They changed color and were very reflective
