Anyone want to comment on pros and cons?
Facts seldom change public opinion.

Pros:

Unsprung weight so effects the model less
Tend to have better detail (Asiatam ones usually have nicely detailed tyres too)
Usually bearings (but not all)

Cons:

Do still increase weight of tank
Pricey

Another pro is that they put weight lower down so should make it more stable. Depending on the make they may not fit the plastic arms and I've found the caps to be moderately fragile.

Agree in general.
Depanding on the version of metal wheel, the fit and security can be quite different.
Next time I do a set I will drill & tap out the arms & use cap screws to secure the wheel sets to the arms.

I think they give more realistic performance with the extra unsprung weight.

Herman, I tapped all the metal swing arms on my Abrams. I'll be posting that video today. In my case, the swing arms already had a hole in them, just a bit on the large side but still enough meat in there for the trusty M3x0.5 hand tap. 8)

Then it was just a case of getting the right length from my local hardware store (those guys love me. I'm always looking for something they never heard of @) ).
When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!
