T34/85 HATCH INTERIOR COLOUR
Lads, been looking, but no definitive pointer as to the interior colour of the very late war T34/85 hatches.
Ive seen a few in museums, but I dont trust them to be right.
Any direction appreciated.

Hello Herman up until the latter part of 1943 all of the t34 models were painted the exterior color green late 43 till the t-34 85 was developed they were painted white or an off-white color as far as I know

Re: T34/85 HATCH INTERIOR COLOUR
Oh joy..............instinct says same as the outside, but logic and evidence says a form of white.
I guess that by the latter stages of the conflict a white hatch reflection would be less of a problem as your own tanks had big-ass white bands bunged around the turret to avoid friendly fire issues so why not a hatch ??!!
I will colour the hatch interiors an off/dirty white & see how it looks.
Anything to keep me away from my painintheass Jagdtiger electronics.

Herman maybe use that spare Taigen board and add a Beier sound card like I'm about to do to my late Tiger I. That way you don't have to worry about the disappointment of the pesky t90 wiring
I am currently working on a t34 and am rewiring that so I can add a Clark board tk60. My hatch is currently green and now it seems I need to paint it off white- see how maddening this all can be in the name of fun....

Re: T34/85 HATCH INTERIOR COLOUR
Yip, fun it is.
I was looking at the vignette of my T34/85 & as it does not have a visible crew, its not an issue, but I cracked the hatches & it just looked odd.
I have some TS-7 racing White in a Tamiya spray can that I can decant into a pot & brush on.
Used it on my Tiger hatches to get it period correct now its crewed.
The recognition bands on mine are very subdued, as I just couldnt bring myself to go the full monty on the bands, but now at least the hatches will be right.
Thanks for the guidance lads
