I've been trolling these forums for 1 month now since on impulse I bought 2 second hand Taigen tanks on ebay on Christmas eve, so it's about time I said Hi.
I have a BB Panzer IV F2 (my fav tank in War Thunder) and a Pantiger, which will soon be a IR Tiger 1. £67 was a good price I thought, both have metal tracks and gearboxes, though both have been mistreated. I have been into RC as an adult on and off for about 10 years, and these will be my first tanks, and like the usual RC's I buy I will make them my own, and spend more money than I actually have on them.
Thanks to all that have helped me on the forums, as I really haven't got a clue, but I'm learning fast.

Re: Hi from Surrey
Welcome there
I have been into Rc for a very long time now and had a great deal of experience ( I thought I did)
with Rc tanks and controls until I found this forum....
Then wow...
These guys are really good and quite kind and accommodating unless you are like myself in the USA and ask crazy questions while they are sleeping...
( major time differences) yet it all seems to work itself out.
You will absolutely learn so much about all aspects of the hobby from them. I know I did
I think I've picked up more tricks of the trade in the past 6 months then I knew in 6 years.
And the high end builds (museum quality in my opinion) and upgraded electronics really push me to try new things that I know I wouldn't have attempted before I joined. The best part is there is always someone who has done the same thing you have and they have the answers to your questions or they will find you someone who does-crazy
This forum helped me a bunch
Have fun
Carl

G'day Mr LifeofBrian
In my current situation , "always look on the bright side of life" takes on an entire new meaning
I see you have exuberance and a zest for learning new stuff, and that right there is what its all about
Jeez, none of us here do it for the money, so as long a fountain of enjoyment, thats a winner
