Greeting from Rome

Post by Met5 »

Hello everyone, my name is Fabio and I write from Rome (Italy). I am 47 years old and for two years I deal with tanks.

My first tank was a Tamiya Tiger I (Petra). I bought the complete working on the improved mechanical and tracks.

My second tank was a Königstiger Tamiya Porsche turret. Born static, 'I bought from a guy who was badly transforming dynamically.

8 months of work brought him to life with latest generation electronics and complete movements

After about a year I found out that the two tank were rolled off the factory Sven Hassel

my third wagon was another Tiger. Now I'm working on a Sherman, in the future, however, I would go back to the Wehrmacht machines (Jagdtiger & FAMO)

Kind regards

Fabio

It is sensational to have you along mate.
Your machines are worthy of a place in the display cabinets of the Colosseum museum.

Thanks for taking the time to post, and please feel free to continue to avail us with such fine examples of this hobby we all love so much.

I was in Rome in April 2015 and really did not take in as much as I wanted to.
Having visited one of the quintessential capitals of the historic world was an absolute privilege that I shall retain for ever.

Benvenuto, Fabio!
Those girls of yours certainly look like they've seen a lot of action! The battle damage appears to be very realistic! I knew a 'Petra' once, from Frankfurt (am-Main). Luckily, she didn't look quite so war-weary :D

Good evening, thank you all for the warm welcome.

One by one I will present my tanks with a dedicated intervention.

These shots were just a letter of introduction.

See you soon
