I have undone the two screws either side and it's still not coming off, is that it, I don't want to break it.

I'm trying to remove the barrel to check for a jam. It may need a new firing mechanism. Here's a vid of the problem.

Re: Taigen Panzer IV turret removal?
After watching the video it sounds to me like a dodgy firing mechanism for the airsoft possibly caused by a jam from debris or a couple of bb's.

Can you energize the airsoft mechanism outside of the turret and test fire it?

The little spring seems fine, how do I remove the barrel, is it just those two screws, cus it's not coming off.

I think you should have been told by now that in order to get at the innards of the airsoft unit, you have to remove the Turret. Here's a video (and there are many such) from Imex-Erik ('Taigentanks.com) on how to get at the unit. He's dismantling a Taigen KT here, but the same principles apply. If the unit itself is faulty, replacements are dirt cheap and easy to come by.
Also google ;"Rc Tank airsoft gun repair/ gun upgrade" and use similar search terms. There's a wealth of videos, clips and info out there. Search our archive too.
Here's an example of a discussion on airlift upgrades that covers removal etc., (no pics on this old thread though.)
Hope this will point you in the right direction.

Re: Taigen Panzer IV gun removal?
Hi, thanks for the help, I have the thing in pieces but still can't see how to get the barrel out, it seems to be different that the Tiger, which just about every video is on, it must be something fairly simple but I don't want to force it too hard in case I break it.

Re: Taigen Panzer IV gun removal?
With the turret off, it should be possible to remove the mantle and gun unit assembly completely. The Airsoft unit has an inner barrel that locates in the outer one, and may be an interference fit, although the barrel is usually secured in the airsoft housing by two small screws. If there are no screws, it should be possible just to pull the inner barrel out of the outer one.
Look at these examples of how the units separate:
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/rc-tank ... rsoft.html
Here's another video on airsoft unit replacement:
As far as I'm aware, all Taigen airsoft units are pretty much the same (as are HL ones)...only the outer sleeves (the visible barrels) vary..i.e. by identifiable tank type..
Best of luck..
