Got a question for you guys, I noticed that one of my tracks is much looser than the other. I took the top off hoping to find some sort of adjuster but I see nothing. Am I missing something? The tank is a Henglong M26 Pershing.
Thanks

Re: track adjusment
Well if nobody comes forward I shall tell you what I do know,
Heng Long usually have a track adjuster which works by two nuts at the underside of the Tank at the back,
If you have a pair of nuts at that point then turning them will tighten or loosen the Tracks but there is not that much adjustment available so if your tracks are really loose you might be better off removing a Track link or two.

Re: track adjusment
thank you sir, I will give it a shot. If I do need to remove a link it looks like I need to push a pin out, does that sound correct. If so is there any special tool needed or do they just push out. Thanks for the info.

The pershings got no adjustment on it so it'll be a track link removal job I think.

If Tom says the Heng Long M26 has no track adjustment then it must be so,
Your plan to remove a Track Pin is the way to go,
Some tracks are "Closed Pin" and need a different way of taking out the track pins.
If the pins are readily accessible then you need another track pin or something similar to drive it out,
The pins are splined and thicker at one end, you need to be pushing the pin from the other end,
If you look along the side of the track you may find one or more pins that are standing proud, if so that would be the pin to remove,
just gently tap the spare track pin against the end of the in situ pin and watch to see if it moves,
if so continue,
if not do the same but on the other end of the track pin,
Once there is enough track pin showing grip it with a pair of plier's and pull it free,
Make sure the Tank is secure as you do this,
Depending on how much slack is in the tracks will tell you how many links to remove BUT NEVER make the tracks tight for damage to the drivetrain will inevitably follow.
By the way there is plenty of newsreel footage that shows M26s with an amazing amount of slack in their tracks, so as long as yours are not coming off while driving you might like to leave them alone.

Re: track adjusment
thanks for all your help guys, surprisingly the tracks have not come off and I gave it a good 30 min run over all sorts of terrain over the weekend. The reason I asked was because I set it on a 4x4 while I was working on it and noticed one side has more slack than the other. as the saying goes "If it aint broke dont fix it" I will keep an eye on it. Once again Thank guys.
