My two Taigen Panther Gs

Post by pebblemonkey73 »

These are progressing a lot quicker than my previous tigers .
They're both Taigen Panthers (the upper hulls and lower hull on the late G are rebadged HL panthers whilst the early G is rolling on a metal Taigen lower hull).
Panther Ausf G Early- zimmeritted using the ATAK set to resemble "Cuckoo" of the 5th Coldstream Guards Guards Armoured Brigade.

Panther Ausf G Late, will be in the dark green and dark yellow scheme.

Thanks guys,
they're in their Red Oxide and pre-shaded stage at the moment, waiting a few days for the primer to fully cure before base-coating them with Tamiya spray paint . I'm copying my 1/35th scale Dragon versions.
Thinking of becoming a pantherholic as they're really nice looking tanks.

I do like the British Cuckoo panther. It was a quite Formidable fighter for the allies until her mechanical failure. Poor thing was abandoned since no repair parts for this highly engineered beast were available to the British running her

Both nice examples mate. Poor old Cuckoo, never stood a chance at a long life, but it certainly lives on through the ages.
I really wonder just what the new owners thought of their charge as a fighting vehicle when compared to their usual mounts.,.

this has some great footage of panthers including Cuckoo in her winter camo scheme. It also has a captured Ausf A being tested along side a sherman.

Yeah great research material,
I might name this one Cog as that's Welsh for Cuckoo and drive it in my 2nd Battalion Welsh Guards uniform LOL
