Re: Torro M16.
It's probably a bit late now, but Dominique at RcTank.de sells Elmod boards.

Hi Richard, Happy New Year,
I did look at Dom's site but after adding Postage it works out more expensive than Thomas's INCLUDING the £9 Bank Transfer charge
Shaun.

That's interesting. When I checked, some time ago, it was the other way round, and then I recall that you could use PayPal. Times change of course.
Happy New Year to you too, Shaun.

Re: Torro M16.
No paypal or credit cards? Sorry that's a HUGE red flag IMHO! Gives you nothing to fall back on to protect you as a buyer. Thanks but no thanks, PASS!
Re: Torro M16.
Often German sellers don't advertise the fact they use PayPal but will do it and charge the fee to the buyer. It's worth asking

Re: Torro M16.
Elmod's current terms and conditions do actually make reference to Paypal.

Re: Torro M16.
Dave as ever treated me to his speedy and first class service as my M16 arrived today in pristine condition,
Now all I have to do is wait for the lightening fast German Postal Service to deliver my "Elmod" Board,
I can happily go back to Hospital next week safe in the knowledge it wont come that quickly.
Shaun.

Re: Torro M16.
The "ELMOD" Board for my M16 arrived today in its Aluminium box
I shall not be fitting it for some weeks as I am up to my armpits in different builds but I do have a few questions,
Is the fitted speaker ok with the "ELMOD" board which needs 8 ohms? And if not would one of the 1/2 dozen Heng Long/Taigen speakers Sans plastic box which are in my spare parts tins be a viable substitute?
I took note of Richards comment about the accessibility of the receiver and that means instead of using a TURNIGY Receiver and my Turnigy 9X I shall instead use a receiver from my Spectrum Dx6i as the cables plug into the end of those types of receiver instead of the side.
The battery should be a 9.6 Volt but I notice that someone is getting good service from a 7.4, does anyone have more information?
I found out that a decent rechargeable battery pack can fit if you are prepared to Gut the battery box of the springs and the central divider.
What would be the best 9.6/7.4 rechargeable battery pack.
I wait with baited breath for the pages of helpful suggestions.
Shaun.

Re: Torro M16.
I have now got a pair of Maplin 8 OhM 2 watt speakers I plan to fit one inside each of the two Hollow saddle fuel tanks of my M16,
They are an easy fit and I just need to cut out the front of each one and cover with a thin cloth in olive drab,
I hope the "Elmod" board can take both speakers, and if anyone has already been down this path is there anything I should know?
